Web Service Transfers Passwords After Death
A new online service, known as Legacy Locker, offers people to store user names, passwords and other digital access information, securely. It even offers the option to pass that sensitive information to beneficiaries in the event of a death. Jeremy Toeman, co-founder of Legacy Locker, sees it as an online safe deposit box and recently stated that this kind of application is more seamless than attempting to constantly negotiate with companies as a family member of the deceased. Upon the passing on of a Legacy Locker user, family members would just need to call or email Legacy Locker and provide the death certificate, along with other verification information. Subsequently, Legacy Locker will send the information to the beneficiaries.
