I wanted to give a big heads up to all of you Facebook users out there, as a virus called “Koobface” (who names these things, I don’t know), is reeking its fair share of havoc on Facebook users.

The virus is of the worm classification and is installed via a false flash update (we’ve seen this technique used before numerous times). The fake flash update is, of course, actually a virus being installed, and is being spread in a message with the title of “Look at yourself in this movie!” and other such variants of the same message.

Facebook users should simply avoid any such messages from people they’re not familiar with, and practice extra caution for the time being. Also, using proper anti-virus software is almost a must to stay safe online in this day and age.
