Top Ten Searches Of 2008 Surprise
Say what you want about Britney Spears, but no one can dispute that people are interested in her. Not after the top Yahoo searches of 2008 were released, at least.
Yahoo has come out with their stats for the top ten most frequently searched terms of 2008, and number one, as she was in seven of the eight last years, was “Britney Spears”. Search me baby one more time, I guess?
Second? Somewhat surprising to me was “World Wrestling Entertainment” — people still watch that stuff? Okay. “Obama” was third.
Running out the top ten were “Miley Cyrus”, “RuneScape”, “Jessica Alba”, “Naruto”, “Lindsay Lohan”, “Angelina Jolie”, and “American Idol”.
Personally, I would have thought that “Obama” would have been the most searched term, especially with all that has been made out of his political-internet dominance. However, at the end of the day, I guess people still favor gossip over presidential elections.
