A survey from the people at Pew Internet provides statistics that claim over half of adults in the USA are gamers! Also, the report suggests that almost every single teen in America is a gamer!

Okay, I believe that most teens have had some point played video games, whether they are all active gamers, I’m not sure. But half of adults? I find that a little hard to believe. I mean, younger adults, sure. But as you look at those older and older, it becomes hard to believe. I mean, neither of my parents have ever owned consoled, nor none of their friends that I know of.

I suppose the question is, what makes a gamer a “gamer”. I would say that you need to actually own a console to be considered a gamer. I still have a lot of doubt that half of the households in the US own consoles, even as popular as they are.
