There were some surprising price drops in the video-game market this week, that might have last week’s buyers stomping their feet. For instance, the newest game in Ubisoft’s popular Prince of Persia franchise, was just released last week — and this week, it’s twenty dollars cheaper!

Basically, those loyal gamers who ran out and got the game ASAP are out of luck, and casual fans will be able to pick up the game at a bargain. Obviously, this has some hard-core fans steaming, probably because they have already finished the very short game, and have some time on their hands. Really though, it doesn’t seem very fair.

Prince of Persia is not the only bargain to be found, either. Two other Ubisoft titles, Far Cry 2 and Endwar, have also been reduced to just under forty dollars. Whether this is simply a holiday marketing strategy, or an indication of slumping sales is not yet known. It’s a good time to pick up some cheap Ubisoft games though.
