Microsoft Makes Changes To Zune Pass
Microsoft has announced changes to its Zune subscription service, called Zune pass, which manages tracks for their Zune mp3 player offering. The changes will enable users to keep up to ten songs monthly, which can keep stored on their Zune for good.
Previously the service would allow users access to millions of tracks for under fifteen dollars monthly, however they weren’t able to keep the tracks permanently. What’s neat is, the changes to Zune Pass allow users the ability to put the ten permanent tracks onto a CD or other computers, as the user is granted the right to do so. Users will also retain the songs if they should cancel their Zune Pass subscription.
Microsoft has announced agreements with the four giant music companies, as well as some smaller, indy labels. This means that there will be lots of music to choose from, and in my opinion, makes the Zune a much more attractive option than it was previously.
