505, The European publisher of video games has declared a partnership with the renowned gold medal winner Michael Phelps for developing a swimming game.  The first games is lined up to be released in spring 2010. The games should be available on current generation consoles and the iPhone. 

In response, Phelps has announced that: “I believe this will be a tremendous opportunity to help continue my quest to raise the profile for the sport of swimming.” 505 Games has agreed to give part of the sales to the Michael Phelps Foundation, a charitable organization that promotes water safety and swimming for children.

505 Games, which has released the versions of Cooking Mama and Harvest Moon, starts to move into game development following the opening of its LA office. The 1st title the company will be developing in the US is a an adaptation of the soon to be released movie Hotel for Dogs.
