Manitoba To Offer Toilet Rebate
The government in Manitoba Canada is sure making toilet-purchases seem more attractive these days. Yes, you read that right. The provincial Manitoban government is now providing a fifty dollar rebate to any Manitobans who purchase a new, high-efficiency toilet.
In kind of a funny twist, the toilet-rebate is a one day only event, and said toilet(s) must be bought on February 21, 2009 in order to qualify for the rebate. Now, before you go and plan a hog-wild day of purchasing toilets, be aware that there will be a two toilet rebate per individual limitation imposed.
The reasoning for this new toilet-rebate day is that the province of Manitoba has some hefty goals to meet - mainly, conserving eighty million litres of water each and every year. Doing so will save residents a combined two million dollars on their yearly water payment.
It turns out, residents of Manitoba are already pretty good about their water consumption, using 110 litres less per day than the average Canadian. Good job, Manitoba.
