LG Debuts “WatchPhone” At CES
LG is aiming to take cellphones in a new and wearable direction, as is evident from their recent presentation at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics show, which is currently underway.
Today the company unveiled a wristwatch that contains all the features that a standard cellphone would contain. Bloggers are calling it something straight out of a James Bond flick. The new device is scheduled to be released by the end of 2009.
Users will be able to speak into the phone’s speaker-phone device, as long as they are within twenty-five centimeters of it (should be fine to wear ont he wrist just like a normal watch), however the phone is also bluetooth capable. It also features a small touchscreen interface. You can look for the high-end “watchphone” in Rogers Wireless stores later this year.
