I am always happy to hear of a corporation moving in a more earth-friendly direction, and prefer to buy from companies that try to reduce their impact on the environment.

Hewlett Packard is one such company moving in a green direction, as they aim to offer new longer lasting batteries in their laptops. The new batteries will far surpass current batteries in their usage life-time, and need less charging. Both of these effects are beneficial to the environment, and, therefore, HP will brand them as “Green”.

The new batteries are expected to last up to three times longer on a charge than conventional laptop batteries, and will only cost consumers an additional thirty dollars. Well worth the additional cost, in my opinion.
