Some scary news out of Virginia today as it was reported that a six year old boy (after missing the school bus) got behind the wheel of his Mother’s Ford Taurus and tried to drive himself to school. The boy made it six miles before veering off the road to avoid an oncoming tractor. Thankfully, despite hitting a pole the boy survived without major harm. Apparently, he was so intent on getting to school that he continued to try to make it their on foot after the accident, however, police soon arrived.

All the while his mother was still asleep, and the boy told police that he had learned to drive by playing the popular video game Grand Theft Auto. Almost as scary as the fact that the mother was so neglectful to not know her six year old was out driving her car, is that no child that age should be playing a game like Grand Theft Auto. GTA is a mature game which includes violence, profantiy and sexual scenes — certainly not suitable for young children. No doubt this development will have video game critics up in arms.
