The great thing about shoppign for electronics online, is that there are os many different models to choose from, and it’s easy to find real users reviews for almost every product. This makes it very simple to find out which the best products are, and what any potential pit falls of each product might be. It’s a good way to find the goods you want, without the risk of being sold something that is not right for you by an eager sales person. Personally, I enjoy looking for various electronics online as quite often they are big ticket items that I want to make sure I do my due diligence on before purchasing.

One popular item that I recently took the time to check out and read about online is the asus transformer, which is a new android tablet that has a huge amount of memory (32 gigs) and a gorgeous touch screen display. I didn’t end up purchasing one, as it’s too expensive for me right now, but it does seem like a fun device that I may want to pick up at some point. Actually, because I live close to the border I used the cross-border comparison tool on the canadapost.ca website, and found out that it’s actually cheaper in Canada. That’s a surprise to me as many people I know go the the US to buy electronics as not only is the price there usually lower, but with our dollar there are some great deals for us. Anyhow, it’s nice to know that if I buy the Asus Transformer Android Tablet, that I can do so in Canada without losing any savings!

While most everybody has heard of identity theft these days, and know it’s a crime that has become more and more common, many still make the mistake of thinking it will never, or could never happen to them. The truth is that identity theft can happen to anyone who does not take precautions to avoid it. Unfortunately, many victims of identity theft do not discover the crime until their credit has been ruined, or other evidence of misuse (such as large bills arriving in the mail, or collections officers calling) starts to interfere with their life. At this point it can be quite difficult to resolve the issue, so it’s better to take steps to protect ones self from this happening in the first place.

One popular company that offers identity theft protection is a company called IdentityHawk, which offers an array of benefits which help users to monitor their risks and take measures to reduce their risks and protect themselves. You can read more about IdentityHawk online at Identityhawk.com.

Eek. If you have a Blackberry you really ought to read this, as whenever dealing with security issues it is of the utmost importance to be ahead of (or at least on par with) the curve. Today Research in Motion (the creators and manufacturers of the Blackberry line of smartphones) reached out and warned its business users of a security loophole which could leave such users vulnerable to hackers.

Thankfully, there haven’t been any actual security breaches reported yet, however RIM (Research In Motion) has released a patch which should keep the business devices safe from this particular security loophole. Keep in mind this issue is currently only applicable to business users.

Also, if yo own a smartphone of any brand be aware the many hackers are now starting to target their attacks at smartphones rather than PCs, so always be vigulent no matter which platform you use.

Actually, unveiled might even be a little bit of a strong word, but Microsoft did confirm and announced some solid-sounding new Titles at a presentation at the E3 gaming conference today. One of the games will is going to be for the Wii console and the other for the Nintendo DS portable gaming system.

So what new Nintendo gems can you be expecting soon? Well, the first announced was another Mario game, which will be for the Wii. It’s a sequel to Super Mario Galaxy (3D) and while it will no doubt be similar to the first game of the series, it does contain one known difference: the availability of Yoshi!

For the DS Nintendo announced The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks which is the more exciting of the two announcements for me, as I am an old school Zelda fan. I gotta say I am looking forward to it!

In an unprecedented move, the free-online-user-generated-encyclopedia folks at Wikipedia are banning an entire organization, and a mainstream one at that. They have now banned all known IPs belonging to the Church of Scientology, and individuals from those IPS will no longer be able to edit Wikipedia pages. While in the past individuals have been banned from making edits to the user generated content on Wikipedia, this marks the first time that a large organization has gotten the boot.

So the question is, why ban the Church of Scientology? Well according to various internet sources, the decision was made as the Church Of Scientology appeared to be using the site in order to push their religion out there in a non factual manner. Wikipedia wants to retain its image as a place to read accurate and factual information, and so deemed the ban necessary.
