Paul McCartney told the BBC recently that the Beatles’ catalog is still off limits for iTunes due to a dispute with the record company EMI.

EMI has acted as the distributor for the Beatles since the early 1960s. According to McCartney, EMI “want something we’re not prepared to give ‘em.”

The Beatles’ songs are one of the few that are still unavailable for iTunes . Last year, a trademark dispute settlement between Apple and the musical group was seen as clearing the way for making the songs downloadable.

The individual albums of the 4 band members are available for download.
