Dual-Screen Laptop to Hit Market
Here’s something potentially cool coming to the laptop market: dual-screen notebooks! Like many of you, I use a dual screen PC at work, and have become rather used to the added screen space — it really is just more convenient. Never did I imagine that one (or that should be two) would be brought to the laptop market.
The company behind it? Lenovo, a pretty normal mainstream laptop producer — who knew they were so innovative? The new dual-screen laptop is being shown this week at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show. Look for laptops to be in the spotlight there, as they have remained a bright spot amid the economic slow-down.
Specifics on the new offering? Well, it won’t be cheap, that much is for sure - the ThinkPad W700ds will retail for approximately $3600 - ouch! It will feature a 17 inch “main” screen, with a 10.6 inch additional screen sliding out to the right of it. The additional monitor can be adjusted to meet the user’s needs.
